We were so excited about ordering this costume. We ordered from costumehub.com and they did not include the hat shown in the photo. They include a piece of felt you put on your head - and it makes the kid look like Napolean, not a patriot. If you order this costume call ahead and make sure you will receive the real tricorner hat, not a piece of black felt with a gold dot on it that you could make yourself for 50 cents.

Item was exactly as stated, runs very small, ordered a large 12-14 for my 9 year old and it fit well.

I bought this for a social studies project my daughter had. They all had reports on famous war people and she chose Deborah Sampson. She was the first woman to fight in war, just dressed as a man to do it, hense this costume. Fits true to size and comes with everything. She normally wears a size 12 - 14 and this fit her perfectly.

This costume was amazing! Looked terrific! The hat that it came with was the only part lacking on this costume. I purchased a tricone hat separately though and it looked fabulous. Highly recommend!

My daughter "played" Deborah Sampson at school for a school project set in the Colonial Era. She needed to enact Deborah Sampson....in costume. With mild anxiety I searched Amazon for a costume, as I do not know where else to get a Minuteman costume. There it was....we ordered it....and she looked fabulous in it. Except for the pants with attached plastic boots, which look and must feel ridiciulous. Instead, she tucked her pants into knee-high white socks, which did the trick. The effect was intact. Her teacher complimented her costume and she got a high grade!
